Borja Colmenares is a partner and lawyer in the Commercial and Corporate Law department. He has wide experience in the resolution of corporate conflicts, company operations and Insolvency Law, as well as in the defence of clients’ interests before civil and commercial jurisdictions.
Biography
Borja Colmenares is a partner in RSM Spain’s Madrid office. He practices in the areas of commercial and corporate law and civil and insolvency law.
His professional practice, with more than 17 years of experience, focuses mainly on preventive contractual advice, intermediation for the out-of-court resolution of conflicts and on the defence of the client’s interests before the commercial and civil jurisdictions.
Borja has extensive experience in providing advisory support to the internal legal departments of large companies in the real estate, financial and consumer sectors, as well as in mediating the resolution of corporate disputes and drawing up family protocols and shareholders’ agreements.
He also has extensive experience in Inheritance and Succession Law, providing legal advice and management to national and foreign clients.
Borja has spent his entire career at Peñafort Abogados, a law firm that joined RSM Spain in 2018.
He holds a degree in Law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and completed an international university stay (Erasmus) at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuero in Milan.
He is also a member of the Colegio de Abogados de Madrid (Bar Association).
